Women’s Ministry

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” —Hebrews 10:24-25

It is our desire for you to know how much God loves you, and to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We provide opportunities to read and study God’s Word and pray: learning how to become the women God wants us to be. We will fellowship with one another as sisters in the body of Christ, and provide opportunities for you to use your gifts and abilities to serve the Lord.

If you have any questions about the Women’s Ministry, please contact Krista Dengler in the church office at (703) 771-1500, x 372 or send us an email at women@cornerstonechapel.net.

We invite you to join us for one of our Winter Book Clubs! The morning and evening book clubs will be reading through the book, A Lineage of Grace, by Francine Rivers. Reading will be assigned each week and then we will come together to discuss as a group. This is a great opportunity for fellowship with women too. Childcare is available in the morning, up to age 5, for a one time fee of $20 per child.

The Cafe will be open from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. We hope you’ll come early, or stay after, to enjoy fellowship! Coffee drinks will be available to purchase while the Cafe is open. You are welcome to bring your lunch with you to eat with other ladies afterwards. In the evenings, although the Cafe will not be open, we will provide free coffee starting at 6:00 p.m. We invite you to come early to fellowship. Bring your dinner, if you’d like to eat in the Cafe beforehand, or grab a coffee and relax in front of the fire before book club starts.

Women seeking discipleship are matched with spiritually mature women who will come alongside to encourage and guide them as they study the material and grow in their relationship with Christ. This one to one discipleship program will give an in depth understanding of the Christian faith and how to be a woman that pleases God. To learn more, contact Krista in the church office at (703) 771-1500 or email women@cornerstonechapel.net.

Surrendering the Secret: Healing the Heartbreak of Abortion

Fridays, March 24-May 12
10:00 a.m.
Off-site location

If you are suffering from the pain of regret, guilt, shame, or un-forgiveness after having an abortion, God wants to give you hope, healing, and peace! Surrendering the Secret is an eight week biblical study led by women who have been where you are. 43% of women have had an abortion, so know that you are not alone. With compassion, you will be encouraged and supported as you allow God to create something beautiful from the painful past.

If you would like to attend the next study, have questions or need prayer, please email Cynthia at cynthia37h@gmail.com. Your privacy will be closely guarded.
