Women’s Ministry

“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.” —Hebrews 10: 24 & 25

It is our desire for you to know how much God loves you, and to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. We provide opportunities to read and study God’s Word and pray: learning how to become the women God wants us to be. We will fellowship with one another as sisters in the body of Christ, and provide opportunities for you to use your gifts and abilities to serve the Lord.

If you have any questions about the Women’s Ministry, please contact Krista Dengler in the church office at (703) 771-1500, x 372 or send us an email at women@cornerstonechapel.net.

Summer Book Club: Morning and Evening

How do I give myself to God completely? What happens when I do? I Dared to Call Him Father is a book for everyone who has ever asked these questions. It is the fascinating true story of Bilquis Sheikh, a prominent Muslim woman in South Asia who faced these questions at the crossroads of her life and found the astonishing answers. Her entire life turned upside down as a series of strange dreams launched her on a quest that would forever consumer her heart, mind and soul.
We will read three chapters from the book each week and then come to discuss as a group. This is a great opportunity to fellowship with other women too!

Surrendering the Secret: Healing the Heartbreak of Abortion

This group meets at an off-site location
If you are suffering from the pain of regret, guilt, shame, or un-forgiveness after having an abortion, God wants to give you hope, healing, and peace! Surrendering the Secret is an eight week biblical study led by women who have been where you are. 43% of women have had an abortion, so know that you are not alone. With compassion, you will be encouraged and supported as you allow God to create something beautiful from the painful past.

The spring study is now closed. If you would like to attend the next study, have questions or need prayer, please email Cynthia at cynthia37h@gmail.com. Your privacy will be closely guarded.
