Worship

“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.” —John 4:23

Thoughts On Worship

God has called us to worship him:

  • “Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.” (Matt 4:10)
  • “Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name” (Psalm 29:2)
  • “Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music” (Psalm 98:4)

When we “press in,” giving of ourselves during worship, putting aside whatever hinders us, and respond to the Lord through songs of praise and worship, because of His goodness to us and because of who He is, then we are obeying His command and calling. And when we obey Him we remain in His love! (John 15:10)
