Summer Youth Camp 2015
On June 21-26, we headed to NorthBay in North East, MD for a week of great teaching, awesome worship, fun activities, time with friends, and opportunities to grow in the Lord.
Our camp theme this year was “It’s Not About Me” and comes from Philippians 2:5-11. We focused on the humility of Christ and how we are to follow His example in our daily lives. We are to be humble, selfless, and consider others better than ourselves. It’s not about me, it’s all about Jesus.
Guest Speaker: Ben Courson
|Ben Courson joined us last year as a guest speaker and we were excited to welcome him again! Pastor Ben, 27 years old, is currently one of the Teaching Pastors at Applegate Christian Fellowship in Jacksonville, Oregon. He has written three books: Anthology of a Twenty Year Old Soul, Anthems of Hope, and his latest book is A Generation Chosen. He has been married to his wife Necia for over six years, and they both enjoy loving and serving the Lord together. For more information, visit www.bencourson.com.|
Guest Worship: Cadence
|Cadence has led worship for our weekend services in the past and we were so glad to have them join us at camp this year! Cadence is a Christian rock band comprised of all family members and based out of Boca Raton, Florida. They have shared the stage with artists that include Casting Crowns, Tenth Avenue North, Matt Redman, and Sanctus Real. They are passionate about Jesus’ mandate to be servants of all first and foremost, and this is evident through their daily lives as musicians and Christians.
