Our Beliefs

We Believe

  1. We believe there is one living and true God, eternally existing in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory; that this triune God created all, upholds all, and governs all;
  2. We believe in God, the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit, perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love; that He concerns Himself mercifully in the affairs of men; that He hears and answers prayer; and that He saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ;
  3. We believe in Jesus Christ, God's only begotten Son, conceived by the Holy Spirit. We believe in His virgin birth, sinless life, miracles, and teachings; His substitutionary atoning death; bodily resurrection; ascension into heaven; perpetual intercession for His people; and personal, visible return to earth. We believe that He is one and the same as God. He was fully human and fully God;
  4. We believe in the Holy Spirit, who came forth from the Father and Son to convict the world of sin, righteousness, and judgment and to regenerate, sanctify, and empower in ministry all who believe in Christ. We believe the Holy Spirit indwells every believer in Jesus Christ and that He is an abiding Helper, Teacher, and Guide. We believe that Jesus Christ baptizes the seeking believer with the Holy Spirit and power for service, either at the time of or subsequent to regeneration, which is a separate work from the indwelling Spirit for salvation. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit and in the exercise of all biblical gifts of the Spirit as reflected through the fruit of that same Spirit;
  5. We believe that all the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the Word of God, fully inspired and without error in the original manuscripts, and that they are the infallible rule of faith and practice;
  6. We believe all people are by nature separated from God and responsible for their own sin, but that salvation, redemption, and forgiveness are freely offered to all by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. When a person repents of sin and accepts Jesus Christ as his/her personal Lord and Savior, trusting Him to save, that person is immediately born again and sealed by the Holy Spirit, all of his/her sins are forgiven, and that person becomes a child of God, assured of spending eternity with the Lord;
  7. We believe in the universal Church, in the living spiritual body, of which Christ is the head and all regenerated persons are members;
  8. We await the pre-tribulation rapture of the Church, and we believe in the literal Second Coming of Christ with His saints to rule the earth, which will be personal and visible. This motivates us to holy living, heartfelt worship, committed service, diligent study of God's Word, regular fellowship, and participation in baptism and Communion.;
  9. We believe the Lord Jesus Christ committed two ordinances to the Church: 1) baptism, and 2) the Lord's Supper. We practice baptism by immersion and regularly celebrate Communion according to the Scriptural guidelines found in 1 Corinthians 11:17-34;
  10. We believe in the laying on of hands for the sending out of pastors and missionaries, and in conjunction with the anointing of oil by the elders for the healing of the sick.

How to Go to Heaven

How can a person know that they will go to heaven when they die? We invite you to follow these simple spiritual truths and pray a prayer like the one below.

  1. Being a "good" person is not good enough. Romans 3:23 tells us that “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God”. However, 1 John 1:9 tells us that “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
  2. You need to repent and turn to God. Acts 3:19 says “Repent, then and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.”
  3. You can believe whatever God says (Numbers 23:19 [1];Titus 1:2 [2]). John 3:16 tells us that “God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
  4. The way to become a child of God is to accept God’s free gift of salvation. John 1:12 says, “Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
  5. And Romans 10:9-10 tells us “That if you confess with your mouth, ‘Jesus is Lord,’ and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.”

Pray and ask Jesus to be your Lord and Savior today! Pray something like this:
"Lord Jesus, I know I'm a sinner and I want your forgiveness. Cleanse me of my sin and come into my heart. I believe you died on the cross as God in human flesh ~ for me! I want you to be my Savior and Lord. In Jesus' Name, Amen."
If you prayed this prayer and meant it, the Bible tells us that you're now a child of God and guaranteed heaven the moment you die!!

What if I Don't Feel Saved?

  • Remember it isn’t your prayer that saves you; it is trusting in Jesus Christ that saves you. When you pray, you are just telling God what you have done in trusting Jesus Christ.
  • Trust what God’s Word says. Your feelings aren’t always reliable [3], but God’s Word is. In John 5:24 Jesus said, “I tell you the truth whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.”
