Women’s Ministry

God’s desire for us as women is to know Him and share His love with others. Our desire at Cornerstone Chapel is to provide opportunities for this to take place.

Evening Registration

Join us as we look at Corrie Ten Boom and her travels spreading the Gospel, where she encouraged Christians throughout the world in the turbulent post-WWII decades. Her own faith-filled journey, from concentration camp prisoner to author and speaker, will inspire and challenge every reader with timeless truths and wisdom from two of her well-loved books. We look forward to sharing her remarkable experiences! We’ll read and discuss 5 chapters each week from Tramp for the Lord and include various chapters from Amazing Love – Stories of the Power of Forgiveness. This is a great opportunity to meet with other women in a group setting to discuss, be encouraged, and pray for one another. Both morning and evening studies cover the same material, but have different leaders. Registration should be for one study or the other, but you may switch between them as needed to accommodate your schedule.

OR

Fridays, September 20 – November 8, 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.

Close to 1 out of 3 women in the United States have experienced an abortion. Many struggle for years with repressed memories, guilt, shame and depression. If you feel you have never completely healed or recovered from an abortion experience, or that a past abortion may be affecting your current quality of life, know that God yearns to give you hope, healing and peace. Surrendering The Secret is an eight-week, biblically-based study led by women who have been where you are. Our hope and prayer is to provide a compassionate and confidential environment that will bring healing and restoration through God’s Word.

If you have had an abortion in your past and would like to attend one of the next studies, have questions, or are in need of prayer, please email Cynthia at cynthia37h@gmail.com. This group meets at an off-site location. Your privacy will be closely guarded. Deadline to sign up with Cynthia for one of the fall studies is Thursday, September 5.

Widows’ Fellowship
The loss of a spouse is life-altering and often devastating beyond words. Finding God through the pain and confusion may be hard. The Cornerstone Chapel Widows’ Fellowship meets monthly to support and pray for one another. This group of women includes those who have been widowed recently and those who have been widowed for decades. They simply desire to love Christ, love one another, and keep their eyes fixed upon Christ to allow Him to create something beautiful in the midst of great loss.

We would love to have you attend our next meeting! If you would like more information about our fellowships, please email widowsfellowship@cornerstonechapel.net or call the church office at (703) 771-1500.

If you are interested in joining the group or have questions, please email Carolyn at carolyngazdick@gmail.com for more info.

Bread of Life Support Group
If you are struggling or have struggled with endless dieting, compulsive overeating, anorexia or bulimia, you are not alone. Bread of Life, a women’s support group, invites you to join them in learning to live the abundant life in Christ free from food bondage. Jesus knew we would face these issues and died and rose again so we can be saved and be set free!! This confidential group meets at an off site location in Leesburg on Mondays from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Please email breadoflifeloudoun@gmail.com with questions or for more information.
