High School Youth Ministry

“Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.” —Psalm 71:17

Our prayer is that the youth ministry at Cornerstone Chapel equips students to grow in their relationship with the Lord. The youth ministry offers a place to worship God, study His Word, and develop lasting friendships with fellow believers. Our goal is to provide a balanced ministry between God’s Word, worship, prayer, activities, and outreach.

Service Times

Sunday Mornings at 8:30 a.m.
Wednesday Evenings at 7:00 p.m.
First Sunday of each Month at 7:00 p.m.
All High School services meet in the Chapel.

Youth group services begin with worship, led by the youth worship team, followed by a teaching from God’s Word. There is also time to hang out with other students before and after service.

Monthly Events

Each month we have planned group events such as ice skating, movie nights, snow tubing, and evenings at the Park. Bonfires takes place the last Wednesday night of every month. At our Bonfires, we offer worship, s’mores, volleyball, and time with friends. In the winter, we have a coffeehouse on the last Wednesday of the month, which offers worship, snacks, games, and time to hang out with other students.

For a current list of our upcoming events, visit our Events page.

Summer Youth Camp

Each summer we travel out of town for an action-packed, week-long overnight camp. There are opportunities for students to make new friends and participate in activities such as zip lining, a giant swing, ropes courses, swimming, kayaks, canoes, sailboats, games, and more! Most importantly, there is time for daily worship, Bible studies, and Time Alone With God (TAWG).

Mission Trips

Our high school youth group goes on an international mission trip every other year, and a local mission trip in the interim. In Spring 2019, our youth group partnered with Praying Pelican Missions to go on a mission trip to Beckley, WV. They did construction with a local ministry for teens, and worked with the local church and surrounding area. High School mission trips are generally one week long. Past mission trips to the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas have allowed students to share the Gospel through VBS, drama, and film outreach, while meeting construction and medical needs as well. Domestic mission trips are open to all students in grades 9–12. International mission trips are only open to students in grades 11–12.
