High School Youth Ministry

“Since my youth, O God, you have taught me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.” —Psalm 71:17

It is our prayer that the youth ministry at Cornerstone Chapel is able to equip students to grow in their relationship with the Lord. The youth ministry offers a place to worship God, study His Word, and develop lasting friendships with fellow believers. Our goal is to provide a balanced ministry consisting of God’s Word, worship, prayer, activities, and outreach.

For more information or any questions about the High School Youth Ministry, please contact Pastor Tyler Hamrick at (703) 771-1500, or send an email to highschool@cornerstonechapel.net.

Youth Group Meeting Times

Sunday Morning Youth Group at 8:30 & 11:45 a.m.
Wednesday Night Youth Group at 7:00 p.m.

The High School youth room is located in the 900 Auditorium.

Youth group services begin with worship, led by the youth worship team, followed by a teaching from God’s Word. There is also time to hang out with other students before and after service.

Monthly Events

Each month we have planned group events such as ice skating, movie nights, snow tubing, and bonfires. Coffeehouse takes place the last Wednesday night of every month. There is worship, snacks, games, and time to hang out with other students. In the summer and early fall we have a bonfire at the Park every last Wednesday of the month. There is worship, s’mores, volleyball, and time with friends.

Summer Youth Camp

Each summer we travel out of town for an action packed, week-long overnight camp. There are opportunities for students to make new friends and participate in activities such as a zip line, giant swing, ropes course, swimming, kayaks, canoes, sailboats, games, and more! Most importantly, there is time for daily worship, Bible studies, and Time Alone With God (TAWG). To view our Summer Youth Camp webpage, click here.

Mission Trips

The High School ministry takes a short-term mission trip during the Summer, every other year. High School mission trips are generally one week long and take place out of country. Past mission trips to Honduras, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic have allowed students to share the Gospel through VBS, drama, and film outreach, while meeting construction and medical needs as well. Mission trips are open to all students in grades 9-12.
