Adopt A Missionary

“He will not forget your work and the love you have shown Him as you have helped His people and continue to help them.” Hebrews 6:10

Our missionaries are often isolated from fellow believers and under spiritual attack. It is important for them to know that the church is standing with them. By “adopting” a Cornerstone missionary, you have the privilege of being a source of encouragement while regularly praying for them.

How Do I “Adopt” a Missionary?

Click the “Adopt Missionary” button next to the profile of the missionary you would like to support. In return, Cornerstone’s Global Outreach staff will send you a packet about your missionary with a list of suggestions on how you (and your family or small group) can be an encouragement to them.

Our hope is that you will commit to regularly pray for them and bless them with an occasional email or card. Showing support in these simple ways is so encouraging to our missionaries!

Kenny and Katie

Closed Country

Biography

In 2002, Kenny moved to a large East Asian city as a junior in high school. There he found a youth group for expatriate youth from all over the world that radically impacted his relationship with God with its passion for worship, dedication to learning Scripture, and excitement for evangelism.

In 2009, God brought Kenny back to begin serving as a youth pastor to this group, and in 2012, he was joined by his newlywed wife Katie. Today they lead a ministry that reaches students from at least five continents and every year graduates students who leave for the literal ends of the earth. Students come from very different walks of life: some are kids of charity workers, some are from diplomat families, others are here studying with only one or even neither of their parents. Many of the students in the group are the first believers in their entire extended family.

Kenny and Katie believe God has given them Isaiah 60:4 as a life calling verse, which says, “Then you shall see and be radiant; your heart shall thrill and exult, because the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you, the wealth of the nations shall come to you.” They believe that God has promised them the “abundance of the sea” and the “wealth of the nations,” which is the souls of the nations for Jesus!

His goal is to extend beyond teaching the basic skills of the game into teaching by example the life impact of encouraging and discipling coaches, athletes, and the next generation for Jesus Christ – both on and off the field.
“And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into His image with intensifying glory.”
2 Cor 3:18
