The US Outreach Ministry at Cornerstone Chapel exists because of our response to God’s call for us to be messengers of hope and good news. We do this by utilizing the ministry gifts of our volunteers and the financial resources the Lord provides to impact and influence people for Christ by putting our faith into action. We desire to intentionally love others who are troubled, poor, sick, lonely, and lost, and in doing so, we demonstrate God’s love.

Community Outreach
Volunteer opportunities that meet the physical needs of our congregation and community members. This includes food and supply distribution events, landscaping, help moving, transportation, US military support and other outreach projects.
Shelter Meals and Distribution Events – Cornerstone Chapel volunteers provide dinner twice a month to residents at Leesburg’s homeless shelter. Each month we need food donations and kitchen servers. Cornerstone volunteers also distribute food, household items, and personal hygiene products to the community regularly. If you are interested in serving food at the local shelter or with our distribution events, please email usoutreach@cornerstonechapel.net.
Relational Ministry
Volunteer opportunities that build relationships with the individuals seeking guidance and assistance with their life circumstances. These opportunities fall within four ministries, Friends & Neighbors, Interwoven, Safe Haven and Refugee Relief.
Friends & Neighbors – A trained volunteer group providing support to individuals and families experiencing a life crisis.
Interwoven: Adoption and Fostering Support – Interwoven provides fellowship and support to families as they foster or adopt by matching them with volunteers who offer practical help as well as the restorative love of Jesus Christ. If you are in need of support or would like to get involved, please email interwoven@cornerstonechapel.net.
Safe Haven: Pregnancy Support Ministry – Safe Haven helps those wrestling with pregnancy decisions and walks with pregnant individuals and couples who need encouragement and practical support throughout their pregnancies. If you need pregnancy help, we’re here to support you! For more information or to get involved, email safehaven@cornerstonechapel.net.
Refugee Relief: A volunteer group working together to support displaced Afghan families who are seeking asylum here in Loudoun County.
US Disaster Relief
Respond to disasters in the US by traveling to nationwide natural disaster sites, offering assistance with cleaning up debris and/or rebuilding while sharing the love of Jesus. –
Our ministry’s goal is to connect volunteers with the needs of the church and local community. We want to place you according to your giftings, to meet any needs presented to us.
Cornerstone Classifieds is a way to connect our Cornerstone Chapel congregation with potential employment and/or housing opportunities. It is also a way for people within our church body to advertise job openings or rooms/homes for rent.
There are many ways you can serve in the community at this time. Please check out our ministry partners below to find out the specific ways in which you can be a part of outreach in the community!
