The Israelites were delivered from 400 years of slavery in Egypt by the mighty, miraculous hand of God. They rejoiced and sang and danced! But three days later they were complaining, grumbling, and whining about things, and that would characterize their lives throughout the entire journey to the Promised Land. In fact, it would get so bad, that their constant complaining would be their downfall–they would never enter the Promised Land; only their children would.
