The first two chapters of Luke give us more details about the birth of Christ than any of the other gospels. Luke tells us in his introductory verses that he writes this letter so that you may “know the certainty of the things you have been taught.” So it is with the Christmas story-let us be reminded of the truth: God took on flesh and dwelt among us! Despite the way people may “celebrate” this day as just another holiday, Pastor Gary Hamrick encourages us to take the right approach in celebrating our Lord’s birth.
