Leviticus Old Testament

The book of Leviticus means “things pertaining to the Levites”, and is somewhat a handbook for the priests. They were responsible, in part, for distinguishing between the “holy and the common” and the “unclean and the clean.” This affected many aspects of Jewish life-food, skin diseases, hygiene, and sexual relations. But all of this ultimately pointed to the uncleanness of the human heart and our need for the purifying work of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
