In Numbers 6, the Lord tells Moses to instruct the priests (Aaron and his sons) to pronounce a blessing upon the people. Because this blessing comes through the priests it has been commonly referred to as “The Priestly Blessing.” But that’s not entirely correct. The priests are just the vessels; it was the LORD’s blessing. And He wanted it spoken over each worshiper who came to the Tabernacle for the daily sacrifice.
