In Numbers 22 we are introduced to a man named Balaam. He is hired by King Balak to curse God’s people. But every time he opens his mouth, God puts a blessing on his lips instead of a curse. Realizing he can’t curse God’s people, Balaam resorts to a tactic that will have devastating consequences among the Israelites.
