The Bible teaches that “the earth is the Lord’s and everything in it” (Psalm 24:1). But too often we become possessive over things in our lives that don’t really belong to us. We think it’s my house, my money, my career, my life, my everything. Truth is, it all belongs to God and we are simply the guardians or managers of it. David had to learn this lesson the hard way, but in the end he acknowledged God’s rightful ownership of everything.
